I've been exercising a lot and my stomach is flattening but only from the top of the abdomen, is this normal?

For the past month, I've been exercising 7 days a week for an hour a day. On the scale, I've lost about 5 pounds. I'm just worried because the fat on my stomach is seeming to only come off the upper part of the stomach. It seems like most of the fat at the bottom of the belly remains, but at the top, I'm starting to see ab muscle indents. Is this normal?
