300 DPI to pixels on a 20" X 30" poster?

I am going to make a 20" X 30" poster that the print shop requires 300 DPI resolution. I'm using Photoshop/Gimp to make the image. What the pixel/in do I need to make it? What is the straight mathematical formula for this?
