My cat is flattening his ears and he is trying to itch them. What is this?

Time for a vet visit. Sounds like ear mites or fleas, only your vet can confirm it. Indoor cat's get earmites and fleas, if you don't believe it's either of those still take him to the vet to make sure, earmites and fleas are very uncomfortable for your cat.
