Will red semi permanent hair dye wash out of my ash blonde hair completely?

I've been wanting to dye my hair pillbox/vampire red, using manic panic products, for a few months now. I have ash blonde, with some almost bleached seeming and some mouse brown pieces, and my hair has never been color treated. I was wondering if the semi permanent dye will completely wash out or if it will stain my hair. I know I want bright red hair, but I don't know if I will always want it. I like the color of my hair at the moment, I just like red so much more. But what I'm really asking is will it stain my hair? Will it ever wash out completely?
