Does a gaming mice with more dpi produce more heat?

I have a razer mouse with over 3000 dpi and the top gets very warm which feels very uncomfortable. I am looking at the razer mamba because it has a software which alwos me to lower the dpi setting to 1000dpi. Will this allow for less heat to penetrate the top of the mouse where the palm rests?
